Hi Declan! I love your newsletters and of course, hearing about all that is going on in the "Dec-iverse" is always exciting. I'm most excited about the new OLD DOG anthology! Woohoo! I have a question: you have all these cool secret "Project" names that you refer to but have you ever written out what they actually end up being once they come out? Maybe the names are obvious after they are revealed but I always find myself asking "wait...was that Project Secret Sauce that he's been talking about?" Do you have a decoder ring for those of us on the slow uptake?! :)))

Hi Rogue,

Cheers, really glad you like the newsletter. There is no official 'decoder' I'm afraid, but once the actual projects are revealed, you'll notice that the project names are clues to the projects. I have to be careful that the names aren't TOO OBVIOUS most of the time. I can't remember what previous codenames are anymore, though off the top of my head I think THUNDERCATS was PROJECT EXODUS, a reference to the first episode of the animated series. OLD DOG was PROJECT BLACK CIRCLE I think, and so on.

There are some who've figured it out in the past, which is why I need to be careful I don't spoil any publisher plans. Though everyone seems to be good to keep it withing the newsletter, very easy for this stuff to leak out.

Love the creative teams on this one shot! Reminds me of the half past danger Christmas special. Definitely need to bring up more Half Past Danger to Mooney!

PARTIAL credit does go to Mooney, as yeah, it was cool to see that project come together. I had been considering a TBT anthology at one point, but the one-shots kinda filled that thought. Old Dog being all me means it's a bit more open and it also helps build the lore a bit with various missions by different creators.

Oh glad to see things coming out good for you, man. I'll be waiting thrilled the [OPERATIONS] anthology. Bergara, Romero and Paknadel are some of my favorite names in the industry now.

Also, I thought that The Displaced would be an ongoing, ow.

Thanks Wil! Yeah I was so lucky to get Bergara and Romero and I think Paknadel is one of the best sci-fi writers in comics these days. In fact, he was the first person I asked to contribute about 2 years ago, as I was working on the book.

"Project Raven." Dammit, man! It was right there in front of us the whole time (just like Thundercats was)!
